Meet Bruce Davis
Proven Leadership & Experience
Bruce Davis brings decades of leadership experience across military, corporate, educational, and public service roles. He served as a U.S. Marine Corps logistics officer supporting 2,500–5,000 Marines and as an operations officer for a major Marine Corps base serving more than 40,000 Marines and civilians. His professional background includes managing a $40 million corporate budget and leading strategic planning efforts at USAA, a multi-billion-dollar organization with over 23,000 employees.
Bruce has also led operations for the Houston-area Texas State Guard and currently serves as President of the Prairie View Economic Development Corporation. His commitment to education and community service includes serving as an adjunct professor of International Management at UT San Antonio, Chief Administrator at a San Antonio church, and recruiter of engineers and architects at Prairie View A&M University. Through years of studying Prairie View and working closely with its institutions, Bruce brings the strategic planning expertise, vision, and community engagement needed to unify the city and move it forward.

Bruce Davis is committed to guiding Prairie View through a critical period of growth with steady, thoughtful leadership. As the city expands alongside the Houston region, Bruce believes Prairie View must modernize its infrastructure while preserving the character and strength of its community. His vision centers on building local wastewater capacity, replacing and expanding drinking water systems, improving streets and roads, and strengthening the city’s partnership with Prairie View A&M University. Bruce is focused on responsible growth that benefits residents, students, families, and businesses—today and for generations to come.
